While Black Myth: Wukong didn’t win Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024, it won big at the Steam Awards. Steam has also revealed the winners of the 2024 awards in their respective categories.

Black Myth: Wukong has emerged as the Game of the Year. This comes as no surprise, as when it launched, it broke various records and achieved a concurrent players number of 2.35 million active players on Steam. Black Myth: Wukong has won two other awards besides Game of the Year on Steam.

• Best Game on Steam Deck – God of War Ragnarök
• Better With Friends – Helldivers 2
• Outstanding Visual Style – Silent Hill 2
• Most Innovative Gameplay Award – Liar’s Bar
• Best Game You Suck At – Black Myth: Wukong
• Best Soundtrack – Red Dead Redemption
• Outstanding Story-Rich Game – Black Myth: Wukong
• Sit Back and Relax – Farming Simulator 25

For the people who have voted in the 11 categories, they will unlock new stickers on Steam.

Black Myth: Wukong is not available on Xbox as of now. Regarding this, the developers of Game Science mentioned that the main reason Wukong is not available on Xbox is optimisation issues related to the Xbox Series X. Game Science co-founder and CEO Feng Ji stated, “The only thing missing is the Xbox which somehow feels a bit wrong, but that 10GB of shared memory — without years of optimisation experience — is really hard to make work.”
