Studio Ghibli Fest 2025

Studio Ghibli Fest is back for 2025, with a lineup of eight features from the beloved catalog of Studio Ghibli, in celebration of the historic animation house’s 40th anniversary. GKIDS and Fathom Entertainment are overjoyed to present a curated new line-up of fan favorites, notably including Isao Takahata’s emotional tour-de-force Grave of the Fireflies and Hayao Miyazaki’s Oscar®-winning The Boy and the Heron, which joins the Studio Ghibli Fest lineup for the first time since its theatrical release.

This year’s lineup highlights the works of studio co-founders Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki, as well as Oscar®-nominated director Hiromasa Yonebayashi of The Secret World of Arrietty, celebrating a special 15th anniversary. GKIDS is proud to continue its partnership with Fathom and meet the highly anticipated fan demand for more legendary titles with Studio Ghibli Fest 2025.

tudio Ghibli is one of the most acclaimed and influential animation studios in the world, inspiring filmmakers and audiences alike over the last 40 years with beloved stories and breathtaking visuals. Under the brilliance of visionary animation directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, and producer Toshio Suzuki, the studio’s films are known for timeless classics such as My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Ponyo; and have won countless international awards including two Academy Awards® for Best Animated Feature for Spirited Awayand The Boy and the Heron, as well as five additional Oscar® nominations for Howl’s Moving Castle, The Wind Rises, The Tale of The Princess Kaguya, When Marnie Was There, and The Red Turtle. Director and studio co-founder Hayao Miyazaki was separately given an Honorary Award at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards in 2014, and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures paid tribute to his artwork with a special exhibit when the Museum opened in September 2021. The studio received the Honorary Palme d’Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
