“With great power, comes great responsibilities” is the quote that Spider-Man has been known to embody throughout his time as Marvel’s golden boy, and that mantra stays true even in Marvel’s hero shooter Marvel Rivals.
In this game, a team of 6 super heroes from Marvel will team up with each other in order to battle another team of 6 super heroes in order to capture an objective within a certain time limit. As Spider-Man, its your job to disrupt the enemy backlines and quickly swing back and forth in order to mess with the enemies’ concentration, as a Spider-Man would be a big threat to their backlines if ignored.
However, with uncontested movement, there comes a downside, low survivability. Playing Spider-Man means you have accepted the fact that if the enemy were to catch you, it would be a straight road back to the spawn, meaning Spider-Man players typically die quite often compared to other heroes. However, due to your speed, its only a matter of seconds before Spider-Man can be back on the frontlines.
With his movement, Spider-Man can quickly reposition whenever he needs to, thus being able to help both the frontline as well as the backline in a matter of seconds. On top of the benefits of playing Spider-Man, his popularity with the fans of Marvel means he is most likely then not to receive many new costumes and cosmetics compared to other heroes in this game. This means, there will always be a options for anyone when they select Spider-Man in the menu.
