As some may know, many religions have many holidays that come with them, but for this case I will be talking about the religion of Islam. Islam has a few holidays of sorts, but the one that takes up the longest time is Ramadan. Ramadan is a month in the Islamic calendar and the only month of the Islamic calendar where all devils are locked and away. Therefore, with the lack of the devil’s interference, Muslims are free to practice their religion as they please. Fasting also comes with its own strict rules to make sure that your fast is acceptable. You cannot eat until after dawn, affiliate yourself with intimacy, affiliating with any forms of drugs or drinking, and saying curse words. Although it is required that you fast the entire month, there are many exceptions that allow someone to not partake in fasting. these exceptions are going through menstruation or being or being severely sick such as having cancer and other deathly disease with which fasting can hinder even more. This holiday does bring many people together and also brings many Muslims closer to God. Things that muslims do in order to get closer to god is reading the entire quran throughout the month, doing good deeds such as donating to the poor learning more about god and what he has done for people. Some interesting facts about Ramadan besides how the devil is locked up is that if someone dies during Ramadan there is the chance that one is able to go to heaven, and that when one does a good deed in ramadan the amount of blessings that you get from god increase tenfold compared to on a regular day. the last fact is that if you don’t fast during ramadan you should make up your days when the time calls before ramadan.
