This movie is the perfect penultimate story of the Infinity Saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The crossover between all of the major groups in the MCU, they all come together to defeat one evil. All of these separate stories intertwine and come to this climactic event. Thanos seeks to steal all of the Infinity Stones to wipe out half of the universe. They all join together to stop him. It should be noted that the Avengers were all split up from Captain America: Civil War though. Most of the team were split up after a major disagreement they had formed.

The movie starts off with Thanos wiping out many Asgardians, including Heimdall and Loki, and leaving Thor to die in space before he was rescued by the guardians. Before Heimdall dies, he teleports Hulk back to Earth and he lands in the New York Sanctum where Wong and Dr. Strange notice him. Dr. Strange calls Iron Man and says they need his help in saving Earth. Spider Man, much to Iron man’s annoyance, also tags along in his mission. Together, they defeat Ebony Maw.

Thanos defeats the Guardians of the Galaxy. He then throws Gamora off a cliff to get the soul stone. After a brief fight between the guardians and Avengers, they team up to fight Thanos, but Thanos overpowers all of them and forces them to give the time stone up to save Iron Man.

The rest of the Avengers meet up at Wakanda to try to heal Vision. Thanos’s forces caught up and are after the mind stone in his head. They failed to protect him and Vision ended up dying. After Thor, Groot and Rocket make a new axe for Thor, they land on Wakanda and attempt to kill Thanos. They were all defeated, however.
